In the book of Habakkuk, we see not only his personal conversations with God but his faith journey. He starts from a place of doubt to a place of faithful confidence in the Lord.

“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines…..I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.”

No fruit on the trees, no crop, no cattle, nothing. Yet, despite the sufferings and injustices that he sees, Habakkuk chooses to rejoice in the Lord, shifting the focus from his circumstances to who God is.
