Pastor (Full-time)

It is with great respect and enthusiasm that we posted the job to identify a man of God who would serve a church known for its vibrant international congregation with commitment to biblical teaching, and demonstrated success in developing young leaders and engaging in meaningful outreach.

IBC Munich’s unique identity as an evangelical, English-speaking congregation composed of individuals from over 20 nationalities reflects the beautiful diversity of the global Church. We are looking for someone who is keen on his mission and feel deeply called to lead a congregation that is not only spiritually hungry but also strategically positioned in a global city like Munich.

We believe that you would be a leader who has a strong foundation in theological education and years of ministry experience as this role of a Pastor is multifaceted. At our hearts, we are calling to shepherd the flock—providing consistent, Christ-centered preaching and teaching that forms mature disciples of Jesus. It also means serving as a visionary leader, guiding the church through prayerful discernment, strategic planning, and Spirit-led transformation.

But the work does not stop there. A faithful pastor must also be a mentor, particularly to emerging leaders. We encourage all the elders in IBC Munich to nurture the next generation of ministers and lay leaders. Developing young leaders is essential to the long-term vitality of the Church, and we are eager to invest deeply in equipping others for ministry through training, discipleship, and shared leadership.

A healthy church must also be a worshipping community, a teaching institution, a house of prayer, a fellowship of believers, a missional outpost, and a place of healing and service. Each of these roles is essential, and we are committed to building a church that expresses the fullness of the Body of Christ—welcoming the stranger, encouraging the weak, discipline the committed, and mobilizing every member for outreach and service.

We hope you have served in multicultural and interdenominational environments, as it might give you a well-acquainted with the opportunities and challenges of leading in a global context. We hope to bring experience in cross-cultural preaching, pastoral care, leadership development, and church administration, along with a passion for creating unity in diversity. Please share with us your theological training and ministry background and how you are preparing yourself to faithfully lead a church like IBC Munich with wisdom, humility, and love.
