What makes a gathering of people, a community of people if you will, a ‘church’? You might answer with the most obvious explanations – a building with a cross and a steeple, great programs, the worship music, and so on. Although these are all considered correct, you could also dig deeper.

What makes a community of people what Jesus had in mind when He said, “I will build my church?” Jesus is looking for good fruit. Fruit that makes us recognizable and separates us as a community of believers led by His spirit and aligned with His purposes.
