Our Vision

To be a church continually maturing as the Body of Christ by following Christ into Incarnational Ministry with a clear understanding of purpose, with embraced scriptural values, and with effective practices and strategies

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The purpose of International Baptist Church Munich, Germany, is to be the body of Christ through whom He calls those who will be saved and builds up each one in Christ-likeness until all attain to the fullness of Christ Jesus.

VALUES STATEMENTS

Believing—John 3:16, John 1:12

The International Baptist Church Munich values the Lordship of Christ in His sovereign grace. We therefore seek to live in His ways with dependence on Him.

Praying—John 15:5, I Thess. 5:17

We consider prayer to be a preeminent activity of fellowship with our Lord and know that apart from Him we can do nothing.

Bible-focusing—John 8:31, 32, John 17:14-19

We know the Bible to be the Word of God, through which He speaks, guides, and makes His ways and will known to individual believers and to His body.

Loving—John 13:31-35, I John 4:19-21

Our Lord commanded love of God and of neighbor as the two highest commandments. He spoke to all of His followers saying that they are to love one another and that the world will know they are His disciples by their love for one another. We therefore agree on the basic non-negotiables of the Christian faith and in all else practice love for one another.

Worshiping—John 4:23

We are convinced that those who are born again of the Spirit of God have the need and spiritual desire to worship God. The worship of God builds faith in, commitment to, and love for God in Jesus Christ. Worship is to be God-focused and Christ-centered. Our worship will magnify the Glory of God to all who know Him and to those who would be saved.

Going—Matthew 28:18-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8

The Lord Jesus commissions His followers to go into the entire world, making disciples as they go. We therefore encourage the followers of Christ to bear witness in their homes, work places, communities, and through the church. We value any opportunity the Lord gives us to move beyond ourselves in partnership with other believers in going into the entire world and supporting those who do.

Growing—John 15:8, Matthew 13:18-23, Ephesians 4:11-16

We know the Lord desires that none be lost, and we value the opportunity to welcome others into the Kingdom of God and His fellowship at IBC Munich. We also value the imperative for each one of all ages to grow into the fullness of Christ through discipleship.
